Hi, I’m Claire

I proudly hail from the beautiful Ozark Mountains region of Arkansas, where I draw much of my inspiration. I specialize in embroidered thread paintings, blending traditional embroidery techniques with contemporary painting methods.

With a background in Fine Art, my creative practice includes two-dimensional works on paper and exploration of three-dimensional fiber work. My work is characterized by vibrant colors, rich textures, and captivating details. I constantly explore new methods of creating and love to push the boundaries of my creative understanding to find something unique and magical.

My curiosity leads me to travel frequently, but Fayetteville, Arkansas, is where I call home.

Women of the Ozarks

My passion for art goes far beyond my own practice. In 2023, I started Women of the Ozarks with my co-founder and fellow artist, Tram Colwin.

Women of the Ozarks (WOTO) is a collaborative show featuring female-identifying artists from the Ozark Mountain region of Arkansas. Our mission is to spotlight local, female, and femme-identifying artists, to bring our Northwest Arkansas meaningful art in various media, and to provide an opportunity for our community to engage with local artists and one another.
